After settling in Brasov, you’ll meet your fellow riders for a detailed briefing, where we’ll go over the itinerary, safety, and riding tips for the upcoming adventure. And of course, we’ll end the evening with a delicious traditional meal, just a perfect first taste of the adventure that’s about to start.
The adventure truly begins as you hit the road. You’ll visit the Rupea Fortress, a stunning medieval citadel with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, and King Charles’s House in the picturesque village of Micloșoara. Next, you’ll visit the Sighisoara Citadel, one of the best preserved medieval towns in Europe, before heading to the historic town of Sibiu, known for its vibrant architecture and rich culture.
On day three, you’ll ride to Oasa Lake, a serene spot surrounded by the Carpathians, before tackling the legendary Transalpina Pass, also known as the King’s Road. The road twists and turns at high altitudes, offering breathtaking views of the mountain range. Visit the Woman’s Cave before continuing your journey to the charming town of Horezu, famous for its pottery and historical landmarks.
Get ready for an exhilarating ride as you explore the picturesque Vidraru Dam and Lake, an engineering marvel nestled in the heart of the mountains. Then, conquer the famous Transfăgărășan Pass, one of the world’s most spectacular roads, leading you to the beautiful Balea Lake. Continue your ride to the Carta Cistercian Monastery and visit the imposing Făgăraș Fortress before arriving at the peaceful village of Poiana Mărului.
Your ride today will take you to Bran Castle, also known as Dracula’s Castle, a must-see for anyone fascinated by the Dracula legend. You’ll also visit Peleș Castle, a stunning royal residence in Sinaia. From there, ride through the beautiful Transbucegi Pass, then enjoy the scenic beauty of Paltinu Lake before heading to the famous Slănic Salt Mine, one of Europe’s largest and most impressive salt mines.
On this day, you’ll ride through the impressive Trans Cislău Pass, and witness the surreal landscape of the Mud Volcanoes. The day continues with a visit to Siriu Lake and a scenic ride through the beautiful mountains to the town of Covasna, known for its natural mineral waters and serene atmosphere.
This day is packed with jaw-dropping scenery as you make your way to the Red Lake, a stunning natural wonder surrounded by dense forests. You’ll ride through the dramatic Bicaz Gorges, one of Romania’s most famous natural landmarks, before reaching the beautiful Bicaz Lake. Your journey ends in Borsec, a tranquil town famous for its natural springs.
On the final day of your adventure, enjoy a scenic ride through Toplița, Gheorgheni, and Zetea Lake, before making your way back to Brașov. Celebrate the end of your tour with a well-deserved dinner, reflecting on the incredible journey you’ve just experienced through Romania’s stunning landscapes and fascinating history.
